INC Membership Campaign

Excellence in Nutrition Research and Practice
ASN, especially through the International Nutrition Council (INC), is working to enhance its participation in, and contributions to, global science and policy. In order to strengthen our platform for a number of forthcoming initiatives, we have ambitious plans to expand our international membership – with an initial target of a 30% increase in the coming year. We need our current members' help to achieve this!

You can download a list of current INC members (names and countries), together with a pdf of our new INC membership brochure. As you scroll down the membership list you will almost certainly notice that there are many nutritionists in your own country, or among your circle of colleagues worldwide, who are not members of ASN/INC. In the past membership fees have been a major barrier to some, but we have now put in place a fee of just $50 for all applicants from low, lower-middle or higher-middle-income countries as defined by the World Bank (149 countries).

Please help us by contacting as many potential members as you can from your address book or in person. As an incentive and to thank you for your efforts, ASN will pay your membership dues for 2009 if you recruit at least five new members.

To forward ASN information most efficiently, we suggest you create a brief encouraging message, attach the pdf brochure, and point your potential members to the online application. IMPORTANT: Please ask the recipients to tick INC as their Council (assuming this is appropriate to their interests) and ask them to name you as their sponsor (so that we can tell when you have qualified for 12 months free membership).

Please do it today – before you forget! Thank you for your help.
