Yogurt in Nutrition Initiative
ASN and the Danone Institute International are partnering on a multi-year initiative, the Yogurt in Nutrition Initiative, to examine and document the health effects of yogurt, stimulate new research and communicate available scientific information to health care professionals and the public. Annual scientific conferences will be held in different regions of the world to share research findings and encourage new research on the topic.
Proposals are requested for projects focused on health benefits associated with yogurt. Outcomes could include but are not limited to growth, osteoporosis, musculoskeletal health, diabetes and weight management. Approaches could encompass epidemiological, socio-economic, socio-anthropological or metabolic dimensions.
