Berlex Foundation Bayer Award in Basic Science Research   
This award supports promising research in basic, laboratory, or animal science. This can include ongoing or new investigations. These typically involve laboratory measurements as primary outcomes, as opposed to clinical outcomes (e.g., infection, operating time, relief of pain).

Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Nutrition Grants
This program offers support for the following strategies to solve the issue of poor nutrition:
  • Close gaps in the understanding of poor nutrition and how to treat it.
  • Accelerate the development and production of fortified foods and provide access to them.
  • Promote breastfeeding and provide access to complementary foods.
  • Reduce low birth weight.
  • Develop crops with higher levels of nutrients.
  • Advocate for comprehensive global and country-led nutrition solutions.

Nestle Foundation Training Grant (TG)
This grant is primarily focused on human nutrition research issues including:
  • maternal and child nutrition, including breastfeeding and complementary feeding, macro- and micronutrient deficiencies and imbalances,
  • interactions between infection and nutrition, and
  • nutrition education and health promotion.
The TG Program supports a small research project such as a MSc or PhD thesis project or another training endeavor.

This call for proposals (CFP) supports time-sensitive, opportunistic studies to evaluate changes in policies or environments with the potential to reach children who are at highest risk for obesity, including African-American, Latino, Native American, Asian-American and Pacific Islander children (ages 3 to 18) who live in low-income communities or communities with limited access to affordable healthy foods and/or safe opportunities for physical activity.
