EB 2010 has taken off with a bang! ASN hosted two satellite symposia on metabolic syndrome and whole grains. If you weren't able to attend, get caught up by reading the blog posts and watching the videos summarizing the content.
ASN Executive Officer, John Courtney, highlighted some of the exciting things happening at EB 2010 in this intro video. He also gave us insight into ASN's involvement in nutrition policy, the award winning ASN journals (AJCN and JN), and other benefits of joining the Society.

I also scored an interview with the editor in chief of ASN's newest online publication (to launch in November 2010), Dr. Suttie. This will be a new member benefit and a chance to get Review papers published.

ASN members get a ton of benefits from savings on professional development and continuing education credit, as well as critical public information efforts that inform Congress, federal agencies, media and consumers.

Not yet a member? Join online to start getting benefits. You'll save on these upcoming 2010 ASN events, as well as events in 2011, like the Clinical Nutrition Conference February 25-27, 2011 in San Francisco.

After attending EB 2010 over the past 2 days and hearing about ASN's initiatives, I can't believe I am not a member yet. I will be signing up today!
