Predoctoral Fellowships for Students in Nutrition Research

Application Deadline is December 15, 2012

Eligibility is based upon membership in the ASN and enrollment in a program listed on the ASN website in the ASN Directory of Graduate Programs in Nutritional Sciences. The review committee will evaluate significance, feasibility, communication and clarity, as well as overall scientific technical quality of your proposal. The maximum award amount given for the each fellowship is $5,000Click here for review components

 
Complete the Predoctoral Fellowship Application and prepare a summary of your research proposal not to exceed four single-spaced typewritten pages including objective, experimental and selected references.  A twelve-point, truetype font should be used with one-inch margins throughout. Applications that fail to comply with the guidelines will not be reviewed.

Type the proposal title at the top of each page. Do not put the name of your institution or your name on the proposal. Prepare a one page statement, in nontechnical language, explaining the contribution of the proposed research to knowledge in nutrition.

All applications must be received in hard copy to the ASN office no later than December 15, 2012. Applicants for 2013 will be notified in early spring 2013. Awards will be presented at the Scientific Sessions and Annual Meeting at Experimental Biology 2013
